WASHINGTON, DC: (May 20, 2021) Calibre CPA Group announced their 9th Annual National Labor Union Conference would be held virtually, Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 12 pm to 3 pm. This year’s conference will provide an annual update and focus on current regulatory reporting and financial matters impacting labor unions.
Calibre’s guest speaker, Thomas J. DeMayo, CISSP CISA CIPP/US, Principal of PKF O’Connor Davies, LLP, will discuss ‘Cyber Security for Labor Unions and Employee Benefit Plans’. He will share prevention best practices, signs to be on the lookout for, and common pitfalls/schemes.
Some of Calibre’s experienced professionals, Mary Margaret Prange, CPA, Partner, Glenn M. Eyrich, CPA, Partner, James A. Poulos, CPA, Senior Manager, and Jeffrey W. Lewis, CPA, CFE, Partner, will discuss this year’s need to know accounting and auditing updates, as well as hot topics in tax areas that impact labor unions. Finally, there will be a Q&A opportunity for experts to answer questions following the conference.
