Calibre CPA Group’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN) Launched May 23, 2017
Bethesda, MD and Chicago, IL May 23, 2017 – Calibre CPA Group, a leading full-service accounting and advisory firm serving tax-exempt organizations and business enterprises, announced today that it will hold two simultaneous launch events this afternoon for their newly established Women’s Initiative Network (WIN). The events will take place at its offices in Bethesda, MD and Chicago, IL.
The idea for WIN was developed and sponsored by a core group of female leaders within Calibre CPA Group. The goal of the network is to bring women within the Calibre CPA Group community together to create opportunities and programs for personal and professional development, mentorship, and networking.
Karen Roche and Mary Margaret Prange, both partners at Calibre CPA Group, co-founded this initiative, along with several other female leaders. “We are proud to celebrate the launch of WIN and are eager to continue sharing our vision with the entire Calibre community,” said Ms. Roche. Ms. Prange added, “We saw an opportunity to bring our community of leaders together to offer Calibre women a unique opportunity to thrive, grow, and succeed in the accounting industry.”
WIN was proposed to Calibre CPA Group’s partners in February and quickly approved. While the network is established by women and for women, it is open to all employees. Some of the initiatives the network hopes to pursue in the future include establishing a company award, setting up a scholarship program for young women studying accounting, and organizing firm-wide events to support causes such as breast cancer awareness.
