Q&A with Derrick Strosnider

Derrick StrosniderDerrick Strosnider, Partner at Calibre CPA Group, shared his thoughts on the current national labor landscape and what key takeaways conference attendees can expect.

What do you think is the most important issue or biggest challenge facing national labor unions today?

The biggest challenge/issue facing national labor unions is the potential financial impact from probable national and state regulatory changes that could result in declining membership. This declining membership would then have an effect on serving members.

Where do you see room for growth over the next year?

One area of growth is the potential to strengthen the understanding of the value of union membership to current and potential members.

What is the key takeaway that attendees will get from the National Labor Union Conference?

Attendees will be able to capture ideas that help National Labor Unions preserve financial viability and maintain regulatory compliance. These can then be shared and discussed with Union leadership. The conference will also provide tools to help answer the question “What happens if?”.
