WASHINGTON, DC: (July 13, 2021) Glenn M. Eyrich, CPA, Partner, Calibre CPA Group, will share his insights into “Uncovering Fraud In Employee Benefit Plans” as a featured speaker at this year’s International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (IFEBP) Accounting & Auditing Institute for Employee Benefit Plans Conference. The in-person conference scheduled for Monday, July 19 – Wednesday, July 21, 2021, at The Westin Nashville, Nashville, Tennessee, also offers a virtual option.
Glenn’s presentation will provide insight and guidance into understanding fraud risks in the current EBP environment, conducting fraud brainstorming sessions and fraud interviews, considering internal controls/SOC 1, DOL criminal enforcement activities summary, EBP fraud cases examples, and fraud communication requirements.
Glenn’s has over 25 years of public accounting experience specializing in tax-exempt organizations, including labor unions and related benefit funds, trade associations, charities, educational organizations, and other not-for-profit entities. His leadership handling the firm’s professional sports associations, including the National Football League Players Association and National Basketball Players Association, and dealing with multiemployer benefit funds make him a subject matter expert in his field.
He has also taught and written many continuing education courses and has contributed to several conferences during his tenure. Glenn earned a bachelor of science degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park, and is a certified public accountant.
Glenn presently serves as a member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board’s (FASB) Not-for-Profit Advisory Committee and the Advisory Panel for the Journal of Accountancy – the flagship publication of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member, frequent speaker, and has held an appointed position on the Professionals Committee of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
