Calibre CPA Group invites you to join us for our Tenth Annual National Labor Union Conference on June 23, 2022.
This year’s program will be held virtually.

Our National Labor Union Conference provides an annual update and will focus on financial matters impacting labor unions, best practices for managing fraud risk, tax updates, and DOL financial compliance.

Our guest speaker, Lauren Stojak, Lead Investigator, International Compliance Audit (I-CAP), U.S. Department of Labor – Office of Labor-Management Standards, will discuss the International Compliance Audit Program (I-CAP).

There will also be a Q&A opportunity for our team of experts to answer your questions following the conference.

James C. Kokolas, CPA, is currently the firm’s Managing Partner with more than 30 years of experience in the accounting industry. Jim has significant experience providing audit and accounting services to the tax-exempt community. He has concentrated his career on labor organizations, employee benefit plans, associations, foundations, charitable and educational organizations and other membership organizations. He is active in many industry organizations, helping to collaborate with peers on improvements within the industry and the firm. In his role as Managing Partner, Jim leads the Management and other governance committees and is responsible for the overall operations, vision and strategy of Calibre CPA Group.

Jacqueline (Jackie) M. Dunn, CPA, is a partner in the audit and accounting department of Calibre CPA Group.  She has been in public accounting since 1990. Jackie’s clients include tax-exempt entities, employee benefit funds, and governmental organizations. Jackie is a member of the firm’s Audit and Assurance Committee and is actively engaged in the development and maintenance of the quality control practices for the firm.

Arthur “Art” E. Budich, CPA, CFE, is an Audit partner and member of the Forensic and Risk Advisory team at Calibre CPA Group. He has been in public accounting since 2003. Art has significant audit experience with tax-exempt organizations including trade and professional associations, charitable foundations, advocacy groups, employee benefit plans and labor unions. He has led teams on audits, reviews, compilations and other attestation engagements. Art is also responsible for the internal employee performance evaluation and staff development processes.

Lauren Stojak, Lead Investigator (I-CAP) | U.S. DOL/OLMS

Lauren Stojak currently serves as the International Compliance Audit Program (I-CAP) lead investigator. The I-CAP lead investigator provides leadership in managing compliance audits of international and national unions. Ms. Stojak began her career with OLMS as an investigator in 2004 and served as a senior investigator from 2018 until 2020. Since 2007, she has served as an instructor for the Compliance Audit Program (CAP) new investigator training course. Ms. Stojak has received two Secretary’s Honor Awards. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Master of Science in Applied Economics from Marquette University.

James A. Poulos, CPA, is a senior manager in the audit and accounting department of Calibre CPA Group. He has been in public accounting since 2011.  James’ clients include labor unions, single and multiemployer benefit funds, not-for-profits, charitable entities, associations, and business enterprises. His responsibilities include conducting audit fieldwork in addition to working with other team members to establish and streamline processes and procedures in the firm’s audit programs. James also serves as one of the firm’s primary trainers for our entry-level, one-year, and new senior employees in the audit department.

Kristin A. Jacquelin, CPA | Senior Manager

Kristin A. Jacquelin, CPA is a senior manager in the tax department of Calibre CPA Group.  She has been in public accounting since 2007. Kristin has focused her career on audit procedures and regulatory tax requirements for labor unions, employee benefit funds, associations and not-for-profit organizations. In addition to working with other team members to establish and streamline processes and procedures in the firm’s programs, Kristin’s responsibilities include all tax aspects of engagement performance, including planning, supervising, and completing any necessary tax/informational returns. In addition, Kristin performs various other services for clients on an as needed basis.
